Sanford is not really Orlando is it?

I have been contacted by a few travellers who have asked if Sanford is near Orlando. The truth is that it is quite a long drive to Kissimmee and the areas where you need to be for access to the Theme Parks.

I feel so sorry for those people who come in thru Sanford and imagine that they are minutes away from the action and you have to put up with that long transfer. There may be some who prefer it to MCO but I think it is way too far.

Sanford is not really Orlando is it?

%26#39; Sanford is not really Orlando is it ? %26#39;

No, it%26#39;s not

Sanford is not really Orlando is it?

My one and visit to Sanford was shortly after its opening, and if my memory serves me correctly, the transfer to Kissimmee was about an hr and a quarter. Which is considerably longer than the 20-25 min transfer from Mco.

Having said that, there are many transfers in Europe that are comparable with Sanford.

It is supposed to be though. It is sold as Orlando with easy access - %26#39;on the doorstep%26#39; and it aint.

Well, as compared to where you are starting out in the UK, any city in Florida would be right next door to Orlando

erm its only an hour away ... hardly major, my god if u wanna save 40 mins, and complain about that then u got issues.

Vegas just has a little time to waste tonight.

or a little too much...of something :-)

Vegas,

We still hear about people who get a taxi at the Miami Airport and ask to be taken to WDW and are stunned at the end of the five hour drive.

In Florida%26#39;s long distance drive to the supermarket mentality, Sanford is close to the theme parks. We think nothing of driving half an hour to go to the movies.

We much prefer Sanford to Orlando. No big deal driving that extra 20 or 30 miles on decent, uncrowded roads. Easy airport to get through, much quieter than MCO, even the security guards are friendly!

No contest, SFB is the place for me!

Think of your carbon footprints people. You are destroying the planet with your extra 30 miles each way. Take a 747 to MCO and inwardly smile at your positive contribution to climate change.
