flights from Ireland to Orlando

While looking for cheap flights from Dublin I discovered that some of the price comparison websites combine one airline on the outbound journey to Orlando with a different airline on the return journey.Is this something anyone can do or only travel agents?I know its probably a really silly question but what the hell I wont know unless I ask!

There%26#39;s nothing tp stop you booking two one-way trips with different airlines, but be aware that the cost may well be more than booking a return flight with the same carrier.

We are actually thinking of flying out with Virgin (using some of our Flying Miles) and then coming back with Aer Lingus into Dublin. Beats hanging around in Gatwick for a few hours totally knackered :) Got flights booked for this summer but are looking at possibly Christmas.

Aerlingus has direct flights to and from Orlando flying into the convenient Mco airport, as opposed to Sanford,the flight from dublin to orlando is expensive however, but the return price is competitive

as aerlingus lets you book one way flights at no extra supplement i would book two seperate flights.

Its only a suggestion, but have you considered flying from Dublin to New York jfk, at the current price of 85 euros, staying in the big apple for a couple of days, then flying the 2 hour flight down to Orlando, with any of the numerous airlines that offer this service...delta jetblue united etc

Have your holiday in Orlando then fly home to Ireland direct, from mco to dublin at the much cheaper price, as its displayed in dollars youll get a much better exchange rate.

Just a thought.. we done something very similar last summer and its really easy to do

oh the question ';is it possible to book seperate tickets with different airlines'; then the answer is yes. but the airlines in the uk, b.a virgin etc dont like it, they feel that if the%26#39;ve taken you somewhere they have the right to fetch you back, and if you have the temerity to ask for one way they clobber you with an outrageous price, more than double the return price.

im not for one moment trying to tell mr branson how to run his business but this is why i fly Aerlingus..
