which hotel

Well, the southernmost at the beach is booked so for now we still have our Fairfield reservations. Would anyone recommend the Inn at Key West over the Fairfield??

which hotel

Yes, it is a very nice place. The Inn is a long way from old town though, and you would have to either have a car or rely on their shuttle or taxi to get in to old town. Have you considered any other places in the old town? If budget is an issue, the Best Western Hibiscus is a very nice place, with big, very clean rooms and a nice pool. There are also some very nice B%26amp;B and guest houses that will give you a real Key West experience. The Fairfield is just a cookie cutter motel.

which hotel

Once again I completely agree with Sim. Both the Inn and the Fairfield are in what is called New Town. Old Town is what draws Key West visitors. The hotel he mentions is in Old Town as well as all of the B%26amp;B%26#39;s.

Try Southernmost Hotel. Its a sister property of Southernmost on the Beach.

I say try the BW Hisbiscus too. Or if you want a B %26amp; B, Angelina Guesthouse, even closer to all the action in Old Town :)

The Inn at KW is a wonderful, tropical %26amp; modern newer hotel with a BEAUTIFUL, large free form pool %26amp; a waterfall and Jacuzzi. It has beautiful lush, landscaping and a nice outdoor cafe that has a good, inexpensive buffet breakfast, and you can also order from the menu. Their Tiki Bar is pretty; they serve some lunch food at the Tiki Bar too.

It%26#39;s nice that the rooms are larger than they tend to be downtown, and some rooms have a balcony. You are close to the major grocery stores, and the shopping centers. You can take the hotel shuttle downtown, drive, or rent bicycles or scooters. I think this hotel is a great and very pretty place to stay. It is away from the hustle bustle of downtown, yet it takes only a few minutes to get downtown!

Find something in Old Town. No matter how good a hotel is in New Town, it%26#39;s still in a horribly inconvenient location, and near nothing but strip malls and fast food joints. You can do better! People don%26#39;t travel to Key West for that...

We did find a room at the Southernmost Hotel not the beach so I took it and cancelled the Fairfield. I hope we like it. We leave in less than a week. YEA
