island ting verses Fury Water Adventures

Me and my 2 girls want to do one of the day trips. Has anyone done either of these and would you share with me your experience on it. We have never snorkeled before but want to get out and see the water and enjoy lunch and drinks. We leave in a week.

Fury Water Adventures is the generic name for all of their types of trips - simple sunset sails, snorkel trips, *and* the Ultimate Adventure which is comparable to the Island T%26#39;Ing in that it is an all-day trip, but which includes more activities such as parasialing and jet skiing and is more expensive. I have never gone out on the Fury trip but others have reported back that they had a great time on it.

I%26#39;ve always gone out on the Sebago Island T%26#39;Ing and the Danger Charters all-day trip. It%26#39;s a very casual day with breakfast and a sail to the reef where the ship ties up and people snorkel. The question about snorkeling comes up a lot and you should know that most people do snorkel, but others remain on the boat, and some just put on life vests and float by the boat.

Afterwards, while sailing to a mangrove island for kayaking, they set out a big lunch which is described on their web page, then they do the kayak trip. After that they mix up sangria for the adults and bring out fruit and cookies for everyone for the sail bck. (And a few possible surprises).

I always highly recomment this and Danger%26#39;s trip. And in case you did not notice this, the Sebago only goes out three times a week and limits the trip to 40 people, so pre-booking, at least a day i advance or on-line is a good idea.

I did the Island %26#39;Ting back in %26#39;05 and loved it. The reef makes for AMAZING snokeling, I was able to take some awesome photos. The kyaking around the island was really cool too! I had never kyaked out in open water like that, I loved it! They do a very nice spread for lunch, and it was not an overly crowded trip. I recomend it!
