Bus problems at POR???

I%26#39;m just wondering how bad the bus situation is at POR. I%26#39;ve been reading that lines are long and buses are packed. I can see the advantage to taking Disney transportation to MK but since we%26#39;re going at a peak time and have our own car would it be better to drive? And if we would drive can we get beyond the TTC for am EMH?

Any recent experience or opinions?

The only way to get right to the Gate at MK is to take the bus from POR or the Boat from the TTC

I have stayed at POR several times and never find the ';Bus Situation'; bad. The transportaion System at Disney works quite well. If you need to be somewhere in 10 minutes, it may not happen, taking the Bus or driving. Give yourself time :)

Thanks for that.. we plan to ride an early am bus since the park has am EMH and opens at 7am. Do you know what time we should be at the bus stop? Is 6:30 a good time to aim for??

The EMH Bus will start running an Hour before, if you%26#39;re all up and ready, go for it. It%26#39;s great fun to be at MK for Opening :)

We stayed at the POR in Nov. 2006. (nice resort!)

We found the buses to be pretty packed and slow.

Not horrible....but much of the time it was standing room only on the bus. After a long day at the park it isn%26#39;t ideal...but it is free transportation, and it is Disney...just allow extra time, and have a positive attitude.The memories are the reason we all go back!

Disney transportation is generally packed and slow. We always drive-but if you are going to the MK,the Disney bus does go to the front gate so you avoid the ferry boat/monorail. But we enjoy that part of Disney so I would recommend driving-you%26#39;ll still get there faster.
