Advice for Typhoon Lagoon

Can someone give me a basic rundown on the slides/water activities at Typhoon Lagoon. My DS-8 who is 49'; likes moderate water slides, but not the real big/fast/steep ones. My DD-5 is 45';. Neither are too adventuresome.

Can my son go in the kiddiee area, or is he too tall?

Are there more moderate type slides that he%26#39;d enjoy?

What should we stay away from?

What about Gangplank Falls---the lazy river---is it truly lazy, or are there rapids and drops?

And tell me about Gangplank Falls--should we do this as a family? I hate drops and won%26#39;t go on any slides, but by husband loves it all!

Advice for Typhoon Lagoon

ok..

attractions at Typhoon Lagoon are:

Surf Pool - their wave pool. it has a 6-foot wave, but it doesn%26#39;t stay that high the whole way through the pool. as long as you are in the shallow end you should be fine.

Ketchakiddee Creek - the children%26#39;s play area. yes i believe your son will be able to go in the kidde area. i don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s a height restriction.

Castaway Creek - the lazy river. yes it really is just a lazy river, no rapids and the current%26#39;s very slow, and-well- lazy.

Keelhaul Falls - a tube slide. it%26#39;s pretty mild. you basically just drift down the mountain, nothing steep and no big drops.

Mayday Falls - another tube slide, but rougher. it%26#39;s still not steep, but it%26#39;s faster and a little wild.

Gangplank Falls - the family raft. sure you should do it as a family..that%26#39;s the whole point! this one is mild too.

Humunga Kowabunga - speed slides. they have a steep drop. your son isn%26#39;t tall enough for it.

Storm Slides - body slides. they are not too bad, although i don%26#39;t think your son is tall enough to ride this one either. but you and your husband could since it%26#39;s not steep or anything.

Shark Reef - you can snorkel through a pool filled with sharks - harmless, small sharks.

Crush %26#39;n Gusher - water coaster. i can%26#39;t see any of you guys wanting to go on this one, nor would your son be able to.

Advice for Typhoon Lagoon

sorry i got your kids mixed up!

Thanks for the run down---it%26#39;s helpful so we don%26#39;t spend the whole morning figuring out if we should try it or not. My husband will definately try out the crush N gush----he loves the thrill!

Is the height minimum for most of the slides 48';?

For all the ';ins and outs'; of TL
