Can anybody advise the best way to go about this?! Is it best to do New York first?

There are a few airlines that use Newark and JFK as their hubs, B.A. and partners, Coninental, etc.
I suppose it%26#39;s personal choice wether to stay In N.Y. on your way out or on your way back, unless there is a cost implication.
We found an indirect flight to Orlando was considerably cheaper than going direct. We decided to spend a few days in Chicago on the way out as we had never been there before and had been to New York a number of times.
We paid 拢320.00 each via Chicago for May from Manchester with BMI. Direct with Virgin for that time was about 拢450.
