Clearwarter Beach in June

We are thinking about taking family vacation to the Clearwater Beach or St. Pete Beach area in early June. We have an 11 year old son and a 6 year old daughter. We would also like to visit a beach on the Atlantic Ocean side of Florida while we are there (maybe the Daytona Beach area). We already did the Disney thing a couple of years ago and that was the only time that we have ever been to Florida. Any ideas on nice places to stay in either the Clearwater Beach area or the St. Pete Beach area would be greatly appreciated. I would like a nice clean place to stay that is pretty moderately priced. Clearwarter Beach in June

In Clearwater Beach there is the Hilton and Sandpearl Resort. These are directly on the beach in a great location, so not really what I call moderately priced, but if it%26#39;s in your budget, a great location. More moderate in price is the Holiday Inn Gulfview, which was recently renovated. Sea Captain Resort, Best Western Sea Wake Inn, a Red Roof Inn, Econolodge. You may want to avoid staying at Shephards Resort, it is nice, but, they have some pool/beach parties there that are popular with the 18-30ish crowd and may get a little to loud or rowdy for an 11 and 6 year old. They do have a great seafood buffet though for lunch or dinner.
