Teenagers and Singer Island

Hi - We will be staying at the Hilton Singer Island resort in April and need suggestions on places to eat, things to do with 2 teenage girls. I%26#39;ve read that it is expensive to rent beach chairs and thought about buying them and taking them to the beach. Any stores in the area that I will be able to buy a few chairs and won%26#39;t have a heart attack over the price?

Sure there are places just south of the Hilton to buy beach chairs, towels etc. The Hotel has nice lounge chairs around the pool. A Beach Service concession rents chairs/umbrellas on the beach out front. Try the Sailfish Marina for fun meals. An outdoor art show on Thursday nights. Also you can take the water taxi from there to Clematis By Night a street fair in West Palm Beach on Thursday nights. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, movies on nearby PGA Blvd. The food is very good at the Hilton. Walk down the beach to the Palm Beach Shores Resort for casual meals/drinks at the Tiki Bar and Restaurant. As for things to do, what do the girls enjoy?

Will you have a car? There are KMart, Walmart and Target (for beach gear) within close driving distance, as well as a great mall (The Gardens). My nieces (15 and 18) are visiting next month. Among other things, I plan to take them to the Gardens Mall for shopping and lunch, to Palm Beach for window shopping on Worth Avenue and lunch at Taboo, on the water taxi to Peanut Island for a day of sun and snorkeling, to the beach (of course), and down to South Beach in Miami for an overnighter during fashion week. When will you be there in April? The 11-13th on Singer Island is a big music festival.
