Miami Beach Oceanfront on Collins Ave & Shuttle bus advice

Hi,

I%26#39;ve read lots of reviews about Marriott hotels and I%26#39;m really confused!

I%26#39;m staying at the Miami Beach Oceanfront at 3925 Collins Avenue can anyone advise what this hotel is like?

I also checked out some really useful info posted by advisorgirl, Miami, regarding the shuttle bus service. Can anyone tell me whether this is an option to catch from the hotel I%26#39;ll be staying at? I%26#39;ve looked at the route and it seems that although the shuttle doesn%26#39;t actually go down Collins Ave it does appear to go down the street right behind it. However I don%26#39;t know whereabouts my hotel is in relation to the map as Collins seems to be a very ong road! Can anyone advise on this please? Many thanks as the car usage thing seems to be a nightmare, it seems best to leave it parked at the hotel! :0)

You hotel is at 39th street and the 25 cent shuttle that circles ALL south beach goes only as far north as 17th. You can drive and park on your own or take a southbound public bus (the S perhaps) for $1.50pp each way.

Here is a great map of all the parking lots on Miami Beach you should print too!

This website has a lot of travel info for you to look over.

Cheers!

Just last weekend we stayed across the street from this Marriott location at Circa 39 . . didn%26#39;t get inside this hotel, but the bar out by the beach had a great happy hour and live music. Pool area looked nice and the beach out in front is great, too. We didn%26#39;t take the bus to SoBe, used cabs instead, there are plenty right outside your door. Also in the Mosiac building next door, you can rent from Dollar. We did that for one day to go to Coconut Grove, etc. Also, walk down the boardwalk south to 26th to Indomania to eat. Fabulous Indonesian food.

Many thanks for your replies.
