Best restaurant in Ybor City?

Anyone have any suggestions? I%26#39;ve heard The Columbian and Bernini? Only going to be in Ybor for one night (this Saturday) and looking for a great place to eat. Thanks in advance!

There are several excellent restaurants in Ybor, but the Columbia is unique in both cuisine and ambience...you won%26#39;t regret it.

I vote for The Columbia, too, just for the historic atmosphere and the whole experience. Be aware, though, that the food can be hit or miss. I have had wonderful boliche for lunch but also rubbery, overcooked shrimp for dinner. I recommend getting something that is supposed to be slow cooked. One in our party ordered pompano, which we suspected was something other than that fish, and it was just okay. But we shall return, hoping the kichen has it together next time.

The Columbia is an iconic Tampa restaurant. It%26#39;s not hip or trendy if that%26#39;s what you are looking for. But it is a historic restaurant as mentioned in above posts. I believe there is a flamenco show on Saturday nights, so if interested you should make reservations for that.

Bernini that you mentioned is also very good. I haven%26#39;t eaten there in a while but I remember the food being very good and it has nice atmosphere.

More casual, but fun is Taverna Opa. It%26#39;s greek and they have belly dancers on Sat. nights. The food was very good.

I%26#39;ve never been, but Laughing Cat gets great reviews.

Tavenera Opa is closed, but Acropolis is open and excellent Mediterranean/Greek with Belly Dancers and live music, fun atmosphere..GREAT FOOD!!!

And yes, Laughing Cat is still my fav Italian Restaurant in all of the Tampa Bay area, located in Ybor City.
