Looking for a romantic place to stay for a 4 day weekend in mid-May. It will be for my wedding anniversary as well as the last vacation my husband and I will go on prior to the arrival of our first baby in July. The travel agent suggested the Ft. Myers area (traveling from Philly), but would like input about a good place to stay. Looking for a relaxed beach stay.
Suggestions for Where to Stay?What type of place? Full service resort on the beach? A cottage? Do you want a fantasy pool? Or just a really quiet B%26amp;B type place?
Full service resorts - Naples and Marco Island.
Fantasy type pools - Marriott Marco Island [some construction next door - Marriott timeshares I think. Beachfront.
Off beach but complete resort - Hyatt Coconut Point in Estero.
B%26amp;B type place on beach - Song of the Sea on Sanibel
Cottages on beach - Shalimar Cottages, Beachview Cottages on Sanibel and Jensen%26#39;s Gulfside on Captiva [www.gocaptiva.com]
