Meeting the characters

Visiting at the end of February. 2 days at Magic Kingdom. What are the tricks to seeing the characters, need to see princesses and anything a 6 year old boy would enjoy

Meeting the characters

The very best way to see princesses and characters is by attending a character or princess meal.

Meeting the characters

Princess%26#39;s in Cinderellas Castle, restaurant if you can get it, they are all there, also they do a signing in MInnie and Mickeys toontown they do signings, very very long lines though at least an hour, if only going for two days, aim to see the parades and get a good seat early.

Otherwise Winnie the pooh and friends at Crystal Palace, if you can get in for dinner again Magic Kingdom.

Don%26#39;t forget the princess dining at the Akershus! If the Castle is booked, which it more than likely will be at this late date, try there. You can meet the Princesses outside of the restarant(if you don%26#39;t get ressies) and in different lands. We met Mulan in China! And the Genie and Jasmin in Morocco! If you ask cast members, they can tell you when to go to certain areas for certain characters. We met Donald Duck, finally, in Mexico because a cast member called around to find him for us. They are so helpful if you are friendly. They are there because they love the place as much as you do! :D

There is The Character Connection in the innoventions area now too (that is where we found our fab Cast Member!).

In MGM there are lots of characters tucked away for little boys like the cars from Cars and Buzz and the Power Rangers.

Hope I helped and have a great trip!

From what I%26#39;ve read, you have to book the princess meals way in advance (like 180 days), but there might be cancellations, so do check as soon as possible. Other character meals aren%26#39;t as difficult to book, I hear.

Otherwise, I know I%26#39;ve read ';tricks'; to meeting the characters other places so I will try to remember where. I%26#39;m guessing it was somewhere on Allears.net.

You should at least SEE the characters a number of different places like the parades, Ariel%26#39;s Grotto, Toon Town, etc.

I will post it when/if I find it.

This looks like it will help.

More Hints

www.mousesavers.com/timeismoney.html#mickey

when you get into mk in the town square near the front they often have mickey and minnie there for photos and autographs. don%26#39;t queue there!!! the lines there are generally massive, wait untill you are in toon town and we saw mickey in the judges tent in less than 5 mins. and the queue time for minnie and friends was only 20 mins, compared to and hour in town square

Akershus is usually pretty easy to get in and a much better value than the castle, which is WAY overrated and WAY, WAY overpriced.

I%26#39;d choose Akershus any day of the week.

Go to the Pirate Tutorial near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Jack Sparrow and another pirate pull kids from the crowd to become a pirate. They have some wooden sword fighting, some ARRRHs, and lots of laughs. We saw it about 5 times, and my 11 year old couldn%26#39;t get enough. No autograph from Jack, but very, very fun.

My son and younger daughters also loved the Goofy%26#39;s Barnstorming Dance over in Frontier Land in the Country Bear Jamboree area. It was so fun! Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye came out into the audience and danced in the crowd to some fun country songs. After, they stayed for autographs. It%26#39;s been a couple of years, so I don%26#39;t know if they still do it, but it was really fun!
