February- water parks & warm enough to swim?

I%26#39;m just wondering if it is usually warm enough to swim if you go to Orlando in February? Also, are both water parks just open or only 1 at that time? Would you be warm enough at a water park all day on a typical day in February? Thanks!

February- water parks %26amp; warm enough to swim?

We have gone to the waterparks in Mid Feb many times.

Keep in mind that the Averages are

Highs in the low 70s

Lows in the low 50s

That being said it is best to pick the warmest day you are there and make sure you have lots of towels for when you get out of the water.

The water is heated but it can be a tad chilly when you get out :)

Blizzard Beach will be closed untilMarch 8th

Typhoon Lagoon is great and quite a fun day

Do they always have 1 water park closed during the winter months? Is there a schedule and/or heads up for this every year? We went to Orlando a few years ago and just went to Blizzards Beach. We would like to go to both water parks this time.

If you think about it a waterpark is areally big pool/pools. so, it neededs to be drained down and given a good scrub up and paint every year even though it gets cleaned daily.

So, they schedule these cleaing/repairing/making new things times when the waterparks get their least usage- in the coldest 2 months. Jan and Feb.

So, if you want to do 2 waterparks at Disney, don%26#39;t go in the middle of winter. Nov and March you%26#39;d be OK. and soon aquatica will open as well, although it isn%26#39;t Disney.

Thanks! I think we%26#39;ll highly consider May like we did last time! I certainly want to be able to do both water parks.

May will be perfect for both waterparks

And it will be alot warmer :)

It is definitely not warm enough for me to swim in February, but I am a native Floridian.

How about the 3rd week in March? I see the temps can get up in the high 70%26#39;s to low 80%26#39;s. How does the water feel at Typhoon Lagoon around this time?

my fl native pool guy came the other day. couldn%26#39;t do the repair as he didn%26#39;t bring his wetsuit lol! and the pool is heated ;-)

OSU, you should be fine, the water is heated. It will be a busy week so get ther early to grab a few Lounge chairs :)

The weather should be quite an improvemant over the temps we are having up North !!
