POR or WL? Any itenerary ideas?

1st time to WDW, going with our 7 year old son May 19 thru the 23rd. Will have Park Hoppoer and Basic Dining plan w/AAA. Concerns are: realistically how much can be seen between 9:00am and 9:00pm? Such as how much time as certaiin parks,(2 a day)? Planning on going back during the day to relax at pool/room and then go out again. I have read and heard many opnions. Need some more I guess!

Honestly, I think both Magic Kingdom and Epcot need a full day each, if you plan to visit those parks and do most of the attractions, shows, and rides.

You can possibly do Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in 1/2 day each, if you skip some venues.

Remember, with the dining plan, you%26#39;ll be attending a ';table service'; meal each day too possibly, so that will take another 1 to 1.5 hours each day.

AS for comparing POR with WL, it%26#39;s not an even comparison on face value. POR is a moderate while WL is a deluxe resort.

I love POR, but if budgets could allow, I%26#39;d go for WL myself.

For a First Visit I think you will need to Pace yourselves. I agree with kat, Magic Kingdom and Epcot will take a whole day each. With that being said, staying at WL would allow you to go back to your Resort for a MID DAY Break, it%26#39;s just a boat ride away from MK and an easy monorail and then boat ride from Epcot, or just take the bus back.

We really enjoy the WL, it%26#39;s so beautiful and relaxing. If budget allows, I highly recomend it.

We have also stayed at POR several times and really enjoy the bonus of the baot to DTD and the food court is quite a few yummy options :)

Honestly, you can%26#39;t go wrong with either but a Deluxe is wonderful if it%26#39;s in the budget.

Thanks to the both of you. You were the two I was hoping to hear from. We are going to stay at the Wilderness. It will be under 2400 for our week there. It was my first choice, just wanted to know if the food options at POR were that much better.

We do not want to rush around so your ideas seem to make sense. There is always next year!

WL is wonderful, one of our favourites, We will be staying there again this September, can%26#39;t wait for the peace and quite of this Resort. You really will have a swell time.

If you are going with the Dining Plan, I recomend you have a look at

If there are any Character Meals or Restaurants that you really want to go to it would be recomended that you make at least a few reservations before you go. It shouldn%26#39;t be crazy crowded at that time of the year but I%26#39;d hate for you to miss out on something you had your hearts set on :)
