would like suggestions on a place to have a cocktail at sunset right on the water. Thanks in advance for any input.

Only 1 on Captiva and they have only a beer and wine license - Mucky Duck.

Cocktails - beer and wine as he said at the duck. They also have a margarita thats made from a wine based Tequilla (basiclly, its got 50% of the alcohol of regular agave tequila) but they are suprisingly very good and should satisfy your need for a tropical cocktail with a view of the sunset and not having to wear shoes.If you want something with a bit more bite, then head up to the Key Lime bistro - grab a real drink and walk on down to the beach. Its a short walk but worth it.
