Best place to sit for Marlins games

I%26#39;m planning a trip to Ft. Lauderdale and the Keys for my hubby%26#39;s 50th. He is a life long St. Louis Cardinals fan so I want to take him to a couple of games when we%26#39;re down there-mid August. Is there a side of the stadium that is shadier than others? I don%26#39;t want to be sitting in the sun if I can help it even though they are evening games.

Thanks!

last year we went to a Marlins game and sat on the third base side behind the dug out. By the 5th inning we were in the shade and it was getting pretty chilly.

We went from the Yankee Clipper on one of their shuttle vans and got socked with a very high charge and he didn%26#39;t even know where he was going.

The other poster is correct -- the 3rd base side gets shade first. It is also the visitors%26#39; dugout side, so your husband will get a good look at the redbirds. If you are more concerned with comfort than with being close the to the action, buy a Club Level A seat along the 3rd base side and you can enjoy air conditioning and better food and drink options as well.

With the worst attendance in MLB last year and fielding a Dontrelle and Miguel-less team that many AA or AAA franchises could beat, I doubt there will be much of a rush on Marlins tix this year. I follow the team closely and am fairly certain that if this stadium deal falls through again, the Marlins will leave S. Florida.

I was there a few years back for a game and it is hot. Drinks lots and get in the shade early and often. Buy the cheap tickets and move down. It will be you and the ushers attending.
