embassy suites in FT. Myers.....how far to beach???

Has anyone ever stayed at the Embassy Suites Estero? I%26#39;m having a hard time finding accomodations for 3/25 to 4/1 (Tues.- Tues.), but this is available. The reviews are good, but I%26#39;m just wondering how far the beach is, and is this area good for two 11 years olds; We%26#39;re used to staying in Marco, not really familiar with other areas.

Its about 45 minutes, give or take, to Marco Island from The Embassy Suites.

Bonita Beach would be closer. Maybe only 15 minutes.
