A article in todays Mail on Sunday states that a secret ballot by the British Airline Pilots Association which represents more than 3000 BA pilots is likely to result in damaging 24 hour strikes starting in late February.

First it was Virgin then BAA now BA is 2008 the year of Strikes

Nemmis: How long is the flight? Is it a non stop and does it land in Orlando?

The flight out is just over 9 hours ,and im flying Virgin so know my plans are intact ,it just seems strange tha all these strikes are kicking off this year .

BA havnt been on strike befor for over 30 years.

I am not bothered because they said that BA plane from China just about flew itself.

They just need a few more chips in the computers and we won%26#39;t need those nancy boy pilots with their bits of silver stuff on their caps and their carryons cases and the trolly dollies fawning over them like they were Captain Fantasticals. They cannot be bothered to talk to you even, they tell their underlings to talk to the cattle classes while they have another nap.

i will not be impressed if this goes ahead i have my BA flight to the sunshine state booked for march 11th and i shall be joined by american girlfriend who has planneda surprise visit to fly here on day of departure to join me on my flight!! she is currently in qatar working for a US contractor, well i say it was meant to be a surprise she told me the other week, theres me waiting to check in and get a sudden but nice slap on the butt i turn around ready to smack whoever did that and nearly pass out reaslising it is her. you so BA pilots better not strike or there%26#39;ll be hell to pay
