Gatorland

What do you think of Gatorland?? Is it worth a visit??

Gatorland

Definitely! They are doing some renovations because there was a fire that destroyed their gift shop last year, but they are up and running and it%26#39;s a great place to visit. My only problem with it was the last time we visited was in July. It was really humid becuase of all the swamps and lakes. But it%26#39;s real fun feeding the alligators and seeing all the wildlife and shows.

Gatorland

Gatorland is cute. Half day experience, lots of alligators, gator shows, as well as nature trail and other critters and creepy crawlies. Their splash park Gator Gully is great for the kids to cool off, so if you have youngsters, take their costumes.

Some forum posts complain of paying a lot of ';extras'; when you%26#39;re there, but that%26#39;s noy really my experience. The price to get in is nominal - last time we paid approx 拢9 each with Attraction Tickets Direct in advance. Small charge for gator food or the train ride around the park, but frankly they are optional.

It%26#39;s a nice relaxed day away from the major theme parks. TIP: there is a great Cracker Barrel over the road on the opposite Gatorland back toward the 417 junction where you can get some good eats as well as gift shop with lots of Americana knick knacks

where as i have a differant view.....i thought it was cuite cruel, wrestling them for human entertainment, streapping jaws of younger ones for photos kept all day in a glass tank with its mouth still strapped...again for human entertainment and then there is the rookie wrestling which kids can sit on back on one again with its jaws strapped shut for photos........why not open it for people to see the amazing things jujst left alone and just do the feeding and talks on the magnificent creatures......just my opinion......depends what sort of things you like.....but i like animal friendly places

Thanks for that everyone! Even tho the views differ slightly I think we will still go and see for ourselves but we are grateful for your views and tips!
