IF we are eating as a party of eight?

If my family all eat together there are 8 of us will we be charged extra? If we are charged extra can we take this charge of our tip?Or will we have to pay extra and tip?

Will it be easier to book two tables of four?

IF we are eating as a party of eight?

Some restaurant do charge an ';automatic'; tip of 15% to 20% for parties of 8 or more.

If you do take two tables of four, you%26#39;ll get to choose the tip amount yourself, but you may not be seated near one another.

IF we are eating as a party of eight?

So if they apply an automatic tip can we question it?

Please dont tell my hubby we might not be sat together he might insist we always sit seperate. Thanks for the info Kat.

If there is an automatic tip included it should be listed at the bottom of the Menu. If it isn%26#39;t in plain site on the Menu you should ask your server. The standard, I believe, is 18% for a party of 6, sometimes, to 8 or more

Pa is correct. Most places will add 18% onto the bill. But I don%26#39;t understand the issue here. 15% is considered the minimum tip in the U.S, anyway.Surely the server works harder with a larger party.

Boston tom yes im sure they would work harder with 8 ADULTS but with 4 children under 7 we will only order for 5 so why do we have to tip for 8 when we are sharing?

You%26#39;re not letting three of the children eat? Bit harsh, isn%26#39;t it? :-)

You%26#39;re so tight with money you%26#39;re worried about tips on kids%26#39; meals?

DisneyParis is so much better.

The tip will be added at 18% of the total amount of the bill not a per person kind of thing so the tip should not be too much for 5 dinners :)

5 meals at $20 = $100 + $18 + tax of course

Neab,I don%26#39;t care what the adult-child ratio is. The server will work harder waitng on you guys than on a party of two. Actually with four kiddos he/she will probably work a lot harder. If this is so troublesome, why not just go to a counter service joint??

If an additional 3% tip is of concern (paid on total), surely the higher cost per entree for sit down would be a concern. As BostonTom says, check into counter service meals.

All Ears has information with menus/cost...you can review this in advance to see if the spot is within your range and estimate entree, beverage, dessert + tip to see if you can afford it.

Have you considered the Disney Dining Plan? While it did change this year and does not include gratuity, it does provide for a flat rate which can be paid as part of your package and each person in the group gets set meals and snacks per day. Another option for you to explore.
