Where to stay for July 4?

Going to PCB the week of the fourth. We%26#39;ve never been the week of the 4th but hubby%26#39;s new job requires that week only. We have two kids- daughter 9 and son 7. We want somewhere that is quiter (as quiet as possible for that week) and family- oriented with easy access to middle beach and back beach roads. We are looking at Treasure Island and Seychelles on the east end and Aqua and Calypso on the west end. Which of these would be quieter and have the queiter beach? I%26#39;ve read so many bad things about Splash- don%26#39;t want to be overrun with toddlers and a pool that is not swimmable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Where to stay for July 4?

We stayed at Treasure Island in October and loved it. Have been to PCB over 4th and it is amazing. Have never seen so many fireworks in my life. That year we stayed at the Dunes of Panama which was a great time. Going back to PCB in June and staying at Treasure Island again. It%26#39;s within walking distance to Schooners, Montego Bay and Scampy%26#39;s. The condo%26#39;s were very nice. Rented through www.vrbo.com.

Where to stay for July 4?

Tink hi

Out of the chioces you named I think Treasure island might be quieter for you over by calypso and aqua they are building up that area i would pick that area if youre into being walking distance to Pier Park but also seychelles is nice

Thanks guys. I love the looks and price of Treasure Island- esp. for a 2 bedroom. My main concern is that it only has one pool. I know it is a big one, but I also know the condos will be all full that week and I worry that the pool will be too crowded. Also, for anyone that has stayed there, the pool deck looks huge (which is good), but the pictures I%26#39;ve seen look like it takes up a lot of the beach area. Is that a problem? Also, can you see the fireworks from the pier from Treasure Island?

I%26#39;m not concerned about being within walking distance to Pier Park- so that isn%26#39;t an issue.

You could also look at Seychelles. I think it is right next to Treasure Island. It is so much quieter up on that end of the beach. Seychelles is also within walking distance to a few resturants (gotta try schooners!) It has two pools and everytime I have been they have been really clean. I thought it was a great condo and very friendly staff. And the Location was great.

The beach at Treasure Island is nice - plenty of beach. As far as fireworks. You will see fireworks up and down the beach as far as you can see. There were so many that my 10 year old son got tired of them. Everyone is shooting off fireworks and not just little ones but huge ones. We enjoyed staying at Treasure Island. We were there in October so don%26#39;t know how crowded the pool will be since we went in off season. We are going back in June with my family and staying at Treasure Island. You can walk to the jetty%26#39;s at St. Andrews Bay (nice long walk) from that end of the beach. Less crowded, within walking distance to Schooners (a must), Montego Bay, Scampi%26#39;s. The Treasure Ship a very short drive (can see it from Treasure Island), and the Boatyard are close.

We like the west end of the beach. Sunrise Beach is a very good location. We have stayed there twice and were very well pleased. You have a great view of the fireworks and its easy ot get to Middle and Back Beach Rd. The Sunrise has an elevated pool deck on the 5th floor with raintrees for the kids and has an awsome view. The Calypso is a great location next to Shuckem%26#39;s and has a good place to eat of their own. The beach on the west end is also the best for children.

We stayed at Treasure Island for a week in August. It was not crowded then--not sure how it would be for the 4th. There was plenty of beach and the pool area was nice. We had a 2 bedroom condo plus bunk area and had plenty of room. The balcony was also nice and big. My only complaint was the beach is shaded until 9:30 or 10:00 because of the angle of the building. I love the sun and like to get out early!
