Thinking about going through the ';90 minute sales presentation'; to get the $299/week at a Marriot Villa Deal.
Has anyone gone through this? If it%26#39;s high pressure, I%26#39;ll pass!
Has anyone stayed at a Marriot Timeshare resort?Marriott has a rep of being lower pressure than other time share places. That said, there%26#39;s no guarantee. You catch a salesperson trying to make a monthly quota, or in danger of losing their job, and it might be higher pressure. If you need a guarantee its low pressure or you don%26#39;t want to go, then it would be best that you don%26#39;t do this deal.
Has anyone stayed at a Marriot Timeshare resort?Where does this deal apply? I have been quoted $3960 for 2 weeks at Horizons by Marriott for 2 br unit, I thought this was expensive and was perhaps looking to rent direct from owners here. Any ideas?
We%26#39;ll be staying at the Marriott Grande Vista for our fifth consecutive May this year. It%26#39;s incredible, and if you have a chance to see it, do!
Sounds like a steal to me! They have a rep as being very low key in their sales pitches. I%26#39;ve stayed at Cypress Harbour and toured Grande Vista and Horizons. All are beautiful w/CH being my fav but Horizons probably the best for young children.
We%26#39;ve stayed at Horizons and Grande Vista-loved them both, there are so many sights, other than the hotel sight to book a timeshare (I do this everytime, and the most I%26#39;ve spent on a 2 bedroom is $1000 for a week)-try ebay, bidshares, TUG2.org, or just ';google'; timeshare rentals. Also booking through a owner, you%26#39;re not paying the 12% tax Florida addes on to your stay-
$1000 a week sounds much more attractive, especially since we are crippled with very expensive flights from Ireland. Is it easy enough to get 2 timeshare weeks together?
I believe it was about $775 for 5 day stay at the Horizon through the Marriot timeshare website.
Thanks for all the input. I think we will try it and will post my experiences with the sales pressure.
oops.......
meant to add that it was $775 w/o the timeshare presentation.
$299 if you agree to the 90 minute (sales) presentation.
with the steep costs of the park admissions, we are considering sitting through the sales pitch to get the $299 hotel rate.
I never realized how $$$ pricey $$$ the admission was to WDW! My 3yo daughter is into the ';princess'; stage now, so we are hoping to make it a memorable 4th bady surprise.
any suggestions to which park to go to for a little girl that age? we can only afford to go to one.
