Renting a car

We are planning on renting a car to drive from Fort Lauderdale airport to Key West, and then rent one again to go to South Beach from Key West. What is the best way to do this, should we book online before we go? Is it just as easy to rent a car at the airport? We really only need the car for about 6 hours each trip, we don%26#39;t want to keep one the whole time we%26#39;re there as it will be a hassle for parking. Any advice? What%26#39;s a good company to go with?

TIA, Jen

Pop onto travelocity.com and book through them using just a valid e-mail address.

They give you a range of rates and companies.

Here is a rental map I made:

Renting a car

Defenitely rent the car before you get there as they go fast. We were just there at Christmas time and had a hard time finding a car and we also pd double as we waited too long ot reserve it.

The earlier you book the car the cheaper it is.

We rented our car once we were in South Beach as we did not need it for the first few days we were there.

Budget rent a car is in the 6700 block of Collins Ave in South Beach.

I would also check with the company as I don%26#39;t know if they do rent them for less that 1 day.

If you do keep the car make sure you have alot of change as it is all metered parking in Key West

.

Enjoy

Unless you are going to spend a couple of weeks in KW It will probably cost less to keep the car %26amp; drive it back to FLL at the end of your stay than to pay two one way drop of charges. Parking in KW is not that big a problem. Just leave it at the hotel %26amp; walk or bike everywhere.
