Breakfast and finding parking

If I want to go to the beach at dawn and then leave in a few hours for breakfast,

where are the best places to eat, and

if I come back to the beach afterwards, will the parking be gone?

Depends on time of year. Peak time- parking gets tight.

No killer breakfasts but Amy%26#39;s is usually the best bet. A lot of folks like the Lighthouse Cafe but I have never seen why..

Sanibel Cafe serves good pancakes and waffles. They are located in Tahitian Gardens.

AFter breakfast, I%26#39;d try one of the less frequented beaches like Gulfside City Park. Off season, you%26#39;ll find parking most places.

Traffic will be quite heavy next week at peak times, you should be ok in the morning. If you are traveling up Periwinkle in the afternoon or evening, try some of the back roads and cut over or Good Luck :))))

Also for breakfast, I do like the Lighthouse cafe - park in the early am and when you are done shelling just walk over to the cafe. (sorry MSC:)))

Don%26#39;t forgot about the Sanibel Bean!!! World%26#39;s best coffee and granola, good bagels, pastries, etc.

Go up to Blind Pass %26amp; park at the Sunset Grill. They don%26#39;t open until 8. If you walk back over there %26amp; have breakfast around 8 or so I don%26#39;t think it would be a problem. Beach is directly across San-Cap Rd. there. If you go at daylight you are talking around 6 a.m. A couple of hours in the morning should do you anyway. OR, they have a pay lot just before you go over the bridge at Blind Pass. If you get there around daylight you won%26#39;t have trouble getting a spot. You can walk to the Sunset Grill any time you want if you park at the City lot. It%26#39;s on the left just before you go over the bridge. THAT would be my recommendation.

I don%26#39;t think there is a bad breakfast on the Island. I eat at out all the time for breakfast. I choose Over Easy, Blue Giraffe, Sunset Grill for sure, Jerry%26#39;s, Thistle for Brunch on Sunday. Over Easy, formerly Amy%26#39;s by the way... is the closest for a great experience. Homemade biscuits and sausage patties.

The light house for the granola pancakes!!!! we stayed last year and I cannot wait to eat those again!!they were the best!!
