What's in the fridge??

We love going grocery shopping shortly after checking into the condo. Someone suggested Publix over Wal Mart. (good potato salad, baked beans and smoked meats). I%26#39;m looking for some good stuff to serve for lunch and maybe supper since we won%26#39;t be going out to eat every single night we%26#39;re there. I%26#39;m thinking those bagged meals with the pasta and shrimp and maybe french bread and a salad one night. What is in ya%26#39;lls refrigerators that I haven%26#39;t thought of...besides the obvious alcoholic beverages!!!????

What's in the fridge??

Leftovers from Dewey%26#39;s from the night before to be eaten on the balcony! Yummo. I%26#39;m not much of a cook (I%26#39;m honestly trying to learn via Food Network) and while Hubby loves to cook, he tends to get messy and I don%26#39;t want to spend all night on vacation cleaning the kitchen, so we tend to do simple stuff for meals at the condo. Sandwiches, Lean Cuisine, frozen pizza, etc. Pretty much anything that requires either the microwave or only one pan. I have recently discovered how to make a good burger so I MIGHT try that this year. We%26#39;ll see.

Publix has the best Key Lime Pie and the sushi is good too. We always have 1 night where all we eat is appetizers. Boiled shrimp, salad, sushi, and chips salsa and dip.

Real easy and keeps our mind on the beach.

We use the grill a lot when we are on vacation for burgers and those sort of things. We also visit the seafood market for shrimp, and then add a baked potato and salad. I think simple is better.

We like to make our own pizza- get fresh veggies, different kinds of cheeses, etc and be creative. They also make great leftovers.

There is a great fresh seafood market that semco recommended ( cannot remember the name) on 98 heading towards Grayton Beach, just about 10 min past the Outlet Mall area on 98. It is on the West side of the road -great prices, fresh and affordable. This is one of our fav eat in meals. We are going to ship some fresh catch home this season.

Leftover from Dewey%26#39;s sounds divine!! With 2 small kids , we won%26#39;t be going out every night... too much trouble. We just want simple stuff to fix. Breakfast is easy... Krispy Kreme. We go every night to get fresh donuts!! Usually sandwiches for lunch. (Boring kinda). I want something I can fix in one pan, too. We like takeout from The Mellow Mushroom, too.

I have a small child, too...age 4 1/2. She loves getting peanut butter sandwiches and mac %26amp; cheese. Typical young child cuisine!

We like to go out every night for dinner, but like to eat lunch in the rental house 4-5 days (going out the other days). We always eat breakfast in the house to save time.

Breakfast items for us are cereal, bagels, and croissants.....and some doughnuts from the doughnut hole...oh how I wish I could have some now!!!

Lunch items for us are really centered around sandwiches. We buy fancier bread than at home and fancy toppings (sprouts and stuff). Salads, etc from the supermarket deli. We like to have a variety of chips and other snack foods as well.

There are only two of us, so our fridge isn%26#39;t likely as stocked as those with kids.

I always think we will get some great steaks somewhere and grill out dinner one night...but we never do :)

Pick up some seafood salad at Publix and serve with crackers or rolls for lunch. We go out for dinner but the bagged pasta shrimp meals sound perfect.

plenty of cold beer and fresh shrimp to boil from sexton%26#39;s seafood market.
