Is ';Ice'; at Gaylord worth it?

We are heading down to O town, from Jax, for a couple days...have tickets to Universal need to use by end of year. I saw on the Sentinel web site about Ice at the Gaylord Hotel. the price.. admission + parking.. seemed high. Is it worth the price, are there any discounts available.

Thanks All

Is ';Ice'; at Gaylord worth it?

We enjoyed the ICE exhibition at Gaylord but we had never seen anything like it before so it was a new experience.

Cant remember how much we paid but at the time didnt feel we were ripped off.

Look in Orlando Sentinel for a coupon or in shopping malls although you will not get a huge discount.

Its nice to browse around the hotel too. Lots to see and you can watch the gators being fed if you go at the scheduled time. You would need to check when that is.

What is Gaylord - just a hotel or an area of orlando.

Sorry to appear thick, but never heard of it.

Gaylord Palms is a resort and convention center.

ICE at Gaylord Palms is incredible. I took my entire family (80 year old father and 2 year old daughter) last year, and everyone enjoyed it. Plus, the older kids went ice skating afterwards. We stayed for dinner at the Key West restaurant which was awesome. Then we enjoyed a show in the atrium. The hotel iteself is worth the trip. Definitely go, but don%26#39;t just go for ICE...plan on spending a few hours enjoying the hotel.

Dress very warmly if going to the ';ICE'; exhibit too.

Remember your wool socks and your thermal underwear!!!

It is very cold in the exhibit and it takes a while to go through the entire place. The temperature in the exhibit is only 9 degrees F.

I%26#39;ve heard nothing but rave reviews -- quite a few people who live in Florida take the kids, as the kids have often never seen ice or snow.

I%26#39;ve also heard that they will loan you a parka, but they do advise wearing long pants and closed shoes.

I found this doing a search for promo codes - I used it to get our tickets for this coming weekend and it worked! The prices are for weekend visits (we got tickets for Saturday, 12/22)

You can save money on the Gaylord Palms Ice show if you buy the tickets at www.etix.com 24 hours in advance.$21.99 instead of $24.99. Use the promotional discount code of WAL and you will save an additional $3, bringing it down to $18.99 for adults. Children, it appears, do not receive discounts as their cost is $9.99.
