What time to be among 1st in line when Magic Kingdom opens? I plan to be there on a Saturday in May, on the 17th. I don%26#39;t have to be the 1st, but I%26#39;d like to be somewhere up front when they ';drop the rope.'; What time do I need to arrive?

Two years ago we arrived early at Disneyland before they opened, and already there was quite a line. So, I know that just arriving before the opening hour may not be enough.

Are you arriving by Disney transport or are you driving?

If M.K. opens at 9:00 AM, parking lots don%26#39;t open until 7:30 AM. Disney busses to M.K. won%26#39;t begin until 8:00 AM.

Remember, if not arriving by Disney bus, you must ride the resort monorail over to the M.K. at that early hour (ferryboats and express monorail don%26#39;t run until later in the morning).

Thank goodness Saturday isn%26#39;t a morning Extra Magic Hour day at Magic Kingdom, else you%26#39;d have to get there even earlier.

We%26#39;ll have a rental car, and can drive. Although we%26#39;re staying a the Gaylord Palms and maybe they have transportation. If they do, we%26#39;ll probably take that. If not, we%26#39;ll drive. Or, do you recommned we drive and not take the Gaylord Palms transportation, if they have it? Thanks.

iif GP have transportation, it will arrive toolate for your purposes. I usually arrive at MK at about 8-8:15 for a 9 opening. gives time to park, take the MR, go thu gate, wander up mainstreet. But Kat would know better.

No, there%26#39;s no 1/2 day passes (except to conventions), even if you enter at 8:59 PM and the park closes at 9:00 PM, you have to use a full day%26#39;s ticket.

Discounts can only be found when you buy more than 3 days on your tickets.
