Help..Keys or Ft. lauderdale

ok i know this is the keys site but....lets me honest here!(lol)

cruise ship arrives in ft. lauderdale at 8:00am...on thursday...my flight leaves out of mia on saturday at 8:00am. 2 days what to do...we want to drive to the keys...first day in islamorada...the next day drive up to key largo...but we would have to continue to drive to mia that same day since the flight is so early morn. we have never been to the keys...is it worth it for only a day and a half??? thats the question! or should we just forget about it(plan another keys only trip) and just lay on the beach in ft. lauderdale till we leave!..help want to book accommodations...cruise is in march. i am looking at the hampton inn in islamorada...manatee resort in key largo...and sheraton yankee trader in ft. lauderdale. would it be too far to drive to mia early morn from key largo? we would have to leave by 5am?

Too early to drive? That%26#39;s up to you. Any time before noon is too early for me.

Stay in one spot in the keys. Islamorada is great, don%26#39;t move around, just wasting time. Islamorada is only 30 mins or so more than Key Largo. Kon Tiki and Drop Anchor are a great little places for just a couple of nights. I can%26#39;t place Manatee Resort at the moment.

Yes, worth a day and a half. It%26#39;s an easy drive. Drove it yesterday just for a quick appointment in South Beach.
