Certain Disney Parks are busier on certain days?

I was reading a post below where someone mentioned to strategically plan your trips to the parks so you avoid parks that are ';busier'; on certain days. I%26#39;ve never heard of this. Is there some general rule of thumb to visit MK certain days(s) of the week? Same with the other disney parks? Thoughts? Sounds bizarre to me! (except that obv the weekends will probably attract more locals)

Try and not head to a disney park that has extra magic hours....the resorts guests take advantage of this, obiously, so they are genually busier than those days without.

Look at touringplans.com and the accompanying book such as the unofficial guide to wdw.

You can check this site

touringplans.com

it will give you a listing of the Best days to Visit each park for the next month anyway.

thanks to partypa%26#39;s advice on another post I had written we are planning our whole trip around their suggestions. If you are not staying on disney property do avoid the certain parks on the days they have Extra Magic Hours and it will be crowded with resort guests from the way I understand it.

Hey chelb33, you only have a little while before you leave, you must be getting very excited :)

Counselor4444, when are you thinking of going ?

we are going march 7-15 and staying at the Fairfield Inn in the Marriott Village at Lake Buena Vista. It was an amazing deal through Jet Blue... (we are coming from NJ)... 9 nights + air for like $1136.00 for two! When you deduct the airfare, the hotel was a steal at around $90 a night. The hotel is very well reviewed on here and it includes continental breakfast and disney shuttle.

dont%26#39; worry, we also rented a car incase we want to drive!

partypa....yes..I am soooo excited. The temps here are below zero and I need some warmth!!!

I wouldn%26#39;t woory too much about having a Plan of Attack set in Stone then, you%26#39;re going at a good time. Check the Site we have mentioned a few weeks before you go and also check to make sure what time the parks are open. You%26#39;ll be fine.

If you want to eat at any of the Disney Restaurants, I do recomend that you make at least a few reservations before you go.

Have a look at

If you have any other concerns, we are all here for you, some of us are here toooo much but it%26#39;s cold outside and we have nowhere else to go :)

You%26#39;re going march 7-15 which is at the begining of Spring Break. Crowds will be a 7 to 8 on a scale of 1-to-10.

';Best Days'; will make a significant difference and you absolutely need to avoid the Extra Magic Hours parks. Also, it is generally always a good idea to avoid Magic Kingdom on Mondays.

Locals will generally avoid the theme parks during the Spring Break timeframe unless they have visiting friends so that isn%26#39;t a big factor.

The Pirate %26amp; Princess parties require a special ticket and will close the Magic Kingdom early on March 11 %26amp; 14. There probably won%26#39;t be a SpectroMagic Parade those nights. See: buildabettermousetrip.com/piratesandprincess鈥?/a>

I firmly believe that a good touring plan makes a big difference when you%26#39;re going during a busy time like Spring Break. The three I%26#39;ve used and recommend are www.tourguidemike.com, The Unofficial Guide to WDW, and www.buildabettermousetrip.com

We used Build A Better Mouse Trip for our trip last June and never waited more than 20 minutes for any attraction including the thrill rides %26amp; headliners. But we saw lines with signs indicated that the wait was 60, 90, or more minutes long.
