Help - Villa ';Resorts';....

Hiya

We are off to Orlando in June and are looking for a villa. We have received 100%26#39;s of emails and there are some extremely nice villas there.

Could anyone recommend/stayed at any of the following resorts:-

Terra Verde

West Haven

Windsor Hills

Hamlet Court

Hightlands Reserve Golf %26amp; Country Club

Any advice/recommendations would be greatly received.

TIA

West Haven is not a ';resort'; it is an area which comprises individually gated communities connected through tree lined boulevards, The Hamlet, The Green, Sanctuary, The Manor to name a few. A nice quiet area about 15 mins from Disney Parks. Most if not all the communities have their own communal facilities such as swimming pool, tennis courts, childrens play area.

I can%26#39;t tell you anything about the other areas as I am not familiar with them

Sorry only stayed at Windsor Palms..........pretty good.

We normally stick to the Formosa Gardens area so can%26#39;t help with the others.

Have you tried Indian Creek.

I was in a similar situation to you last year - I did some thorough research into renting a villa. Three main ones cropped up time and time again: Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms and Terra Verde.

I believe they are all pretty close to Disney, as long as your driving. I think Windsor Hills is a bit more expensive generally, and I believe Terra Verde is pretty new. The general consensus seems to be that any of the 3 %26#39;gated community%26#39; resorts mentioned above would be ideal..

There are plenty of reviews and recommendations on this site so have a search and see what you come up with. I think once you settle on 2 or 3 of these gated communities, its just a matter of deciding what your specifically looking for in a villa e.g. number of bedrooms, big pool or splash pool, internet access, free phone calls, games room etc

In the end I ended up renting in Windsor Palms, but I%26#39;m not going until April :(

Ok have stayed in WIndsor Hills and Windsor Palms which are right next door to each other, both great, gated safe resorts, villas are lovely, clean and both were extremely close to Disney and we had wonderfull holidays here, going back June 2009 going to stay in Windsor Hills again.

Hope this helps

I know Terre Verde, Windsor Hills and Highlands Reserve.

HR is fine, but it is way out west and not as convenient for the parks, shopping and nightlife that some of the others are. There is a publix, Walmart and a few restaurants nearby, so you aren%26#39;t totally isolated. If you want to be away from the bustle it is fine.

Windor Hills is a gated resort community of condos, townhouses and villas with pools. It has community fac like a pool, gym, movie theatre, playgrounds etc. It is the closest to Disney of those lised and is just south of 192 and just West of the main entrance into DW.

Terre Verde is just east of I4, a few miles south on Poinciana blvd. It is a gated communtiy like WH with most of the same fac, but is quieter as it has no condos, therefore less people. It is the most convenient for Universal, and is only a bit less convenient for Disney as you can shoot up Poinciana to 535/536 for a straight shot into Disney East entrance.

If had to choose, I%26#39;d pick between TV and WH and base it on the house and price I could get. Overall I prefer TV.

We have only stayed at windsor hills and it was really nice would not hesitate in returning.
