Magic Kingdom and Epcot Firework shows

May 17, what times will there be fireworks shows at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot? Is it possible to see/do both same evening?

Magic Kingdom and Epcot Firework shows

Epcot%26#39;s fireworks show Illuminations is always at 9:00 PM.

On that date, Magic Kingdom%26#39;s fireworks are at 10:00 PM.

I don%26#39;t think even if the stars align just right that you could make it back to the M.K. park to see the Wishes show after seeing Illuminations at Epcot.

However, you could rush to the monorail, ride back to the Transportation and Ticket Center and possibly see the Wishes show from across the lake from M.K.

In order to get back inside M.K., you%26#39;d have to ride the monorail to the TTC from Epcot, transfer to another monorail, ride it to M.K., and get back through security and the main gate and inside on Main St. It%26#39;s just not enough time to do this.

Remember, too, that in order to visit both Magic Kingdom and Epcot on the same day, you%26#39;ll have to have the Park Hopper option on everyone%26#39;s ticket.

You cannot see Illuminations very well at all from the monorail station outside Epcot, which if you don%26#39;t have the Hopper option, would be as far as you can go if you start the day at Magic Kingdom.

Am I explaining this well enough?

Which is the better show? How do they compare to Fantasmic? Thanks.

Go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/

it%26#39;s all there.

With children in tow, I would allow about an hour between parks.

All three Disney nighttime shows are distinctly different from one another and which one is ';best'; is a matter of personal taste.

Wishes is purely a fireworks show with music.

Illuminations is a multi-media show involving fireworks, lasers, fire bardges, water fountains, music, and a huge video globe all situated on the lagoon in World Showcase.

Fantasmic is also a multi-media show held in an amphitheater setting and is a combination stage show and special effects show. There%26#39;s a story-line of Mickey fighting all the Disney villians.

It would be pretty difficult to see both shows in one night and you would need the park hopper to go into both parks. You can watch Wishes on another night from one of the monorail hotels-the Poly beach is quite nice-but Illuminations, you need to beinside the park. You can see some of the fireworks from the Boardwalk but not the show. We like Wishes the best.
