Hyatt Regency Miami to the beach

I%26#39;m staying at the Hyatt on Easter weekend pre-cruise. I would love to visit Miami beach how far away is that? I know there is a metro does that go there? How much would a cab be? Thanks!

A taxi from the airport to Miami Beach is $32.00, so I think it would be about $25.00 from downtown to the Beach. You could also take a bus. The Peoplemover, which is a free downtown tram stops at the Hyatt. You could take the Peoplemover to a bus stop and catch a bus to Miami Beach. If you are coming back later at night I would suggest a taxi for sure for the return trip.

The bus from downtown Miami to the Beach does not take long as most of the trip is over a causeway,so there are not many stops.

How long would it take to get to South Beach? About how much would that cost from the Hyatt?

It%26#39;s going to cost $20 - $25 or so in a taxi -- to and from -- taxis are expensive here.
