Hotels or Inns on the beach.No reservations

We are looking for an affordable hotel or inn on the beach,or walking distance from the beach.Since we are doing the trip as a last minute decision,I don%26#39;t have time to research on the subject,so adventure here we come!We going to be there on march 15th,and staying about five nights.

Any fellow tripadvisor member with suggestions?

Naples is not the sort of resort that has beach front hotels as most of the properties are private. The few hotes near the beach are all expensive.

You would be taking a very big risk by not having reservations in mid March. It is high season and only a week a way. Because of that, costs, if any room is available, will be high depending on what you consider affordable.

That said, there are 4 hotels directly one the beach (exculding the Ritz Carlton which is not an affordable hotel) and 1 that I can think of that is walking distance. 2 I know of offer a shuttle service to the beach so you wouldn%26#39;t have to bother driving and looking for quarters for the meter.

I am going to this area on 19th March, and from my checks on hotel websites there are LOADS of hotel rooms available. we too are doing the turn up and book thing, but through research it does seem that naples is short on true beach front properties. Marco island appears to have more in the way of this type of accommodation.

Try the Lemon Tree Inn. It%26#39;s not on the beach but it is a nice little motel they might have something last minute available.

Check out any of the hotels on Rt 41 north of Naples (i.e. Best Western, Lemon Tree, Hampton Inn, etc). They are all within 1/2 mile of beach. Also the Cove Inn which is on water bayside and Bayfront Inn also on the water bayside.
