virgin atlantic flights

Hi All,

Looking for some info on what to expect from Virgin. Has anyone flown with them from Glasgow. We are booked on the flight on the 12th April returning on the 26th April. We have never flown with them and usually go with first choice. They get very mixed views as some can%26#39;t see pass them and others think they are rubbish and they are relying on an outdated reputation.

Hi there!.

I know the Glasgow-Orlando flight is a relatively new venture for Virgin Atlantic, having only operated for the last 2 years from Glasgow.

I%26#39;m Glaswegian, (from Uddingston originally!), now living in London (yawn).

We now fly to Orlando from Gatwick.

Personally, you will love Virgin Atlantic!. You can pre-book your seats, my partner and I always try to get seats 63a and 63c, they are great economy seats!.

The food is great, service good, great entertainment and unlimited juice/fizzy drinks/alcohol (within moderation, of course!).

Here%26#39;s a wee tip, if you want anything extra to drink, simply go to the galley and the crew will be more than happy to help you.

Hope that helps a little and have a wonderful time!.

We always travel to Orlando with Virgin (from Manchester) and haven%26#39;t had any problems yet (been 5 times).

Like all airlines you%26#39;ll get flights that have unruly kids and a certain CHAV element but the service is good.

I%26#39;ve spent quite a lot of my time travelling and I personally think charter airlines like Virgin, BA,etc seem to have better feel that charter airlines. Maybe this is because they%26#39;re more reliant on %26#39;return business%26#39; and spend more time dealing with professional people as well as holiday makers..

I flew with them on my recent trip last month. Not as good as the first time I flew with them some years ago.

I think their planes are getting on a bit, other airlines have better entertainment systems for long haul flights, my kids were not impressed.

Hi we flew with them last October from Manchester - and I can honestly say we would prefer not to fly with anyone else - if the price is right!

It was comfortable, the staff were pleasant, and overall it was THE most comfortable journey we have EVER been on - we would definitely rate Virgin, and everyone I know likes them.

But like with anything - if you don%26#39;t have too high an expectation - you won%26#39;t be disappointed I suppose!

Hope you have an amazing time in Florida - truly jealous!!!

Hi Goldensunset

we are on our 5th trip out with Virgin this year. Manchester to Orlando. Wouldn%26#39;t go with anyone else. They have always served us well. You should see a difference with them from First Choice. Lots of mixed views as you say, depends on what your expecting individualy. Lets hope you enjoy the flight, no choice about it now! :)
